Kathy  Keeley
Kathryn Keeley has been a social entrepreneur for over 25 years. During a career focused on economic development, finance and performance management, she has worked with profit, non profit and governmental organizations in every state and over 20 countries.

Keeley has run several businesses. She founded the Women’s Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO) and served as its president for 10 years. She was Chief of Staff for Minneapolis Mayor Sharon Sayles Belton who recruited her to focus on economic development and government reorganization. She was Senior Fellow and Program Director at the Corporation for Enterprise Development, a Washington, DC based organization that deals with economic development, human investment, and governance policy. She was a co-founder of the Association of Enterprise Opportunity. She was a consultant for the Script International Outreach Foundation and designed its scholarship programs and business lending strategy for Latin America.

As might be expected, that rare blend of expertise (of which the above is only an overview) has attracted attention and admirers. Keeley has been featured on Good Morning America, 60 Minutes, The Oprah Winfrey Show, ABC Evening News, a German TV documentary, BBC news in the United Kingdom, Voice of America Radio, and in numerous national newspaper articles.

Keeley’s clients have included the District of Columbia, City of Nashville, City of Long Beach, and the Port of Long Beach. She has worked with entities such as Alaska Workforce Development, The Atlanta Community Foundation, The Northeast Entrepreneur Fund, the Georgia Nonprofit Resource Center, Hands On Atlanta, the Atlanta Micro Fund, Historic District of Atlanta, GA Community Support and Solutions, and Ballethnic. She provided consulting to the Northland Foundation in Duluth MN on a project to assess and develop recommendations for six social enterprises.
